Thomas A Becket

Situated close to the All Saints rugby ground in Northampton the Thomas A Becket is an imposing Northamptonshire stone building. The brief was to move the cellar to allow for a large indoor area to host bands and parties with a movable stage, add a new bar and update the interior. All the false ceilings were removed to create a fabulous space with high ceilings and a stunning new bar which wraps around the centre of the pub. Great attention was paid to the detail with a nod to the Church’s shoe factory next door with the shoe last feature wall and artwork specifically made to reflect both the importance of history and rugby to the pub. Flexible seating was a must to allow for the bands yet provide seating for dining at other times. The refurb has given a fabulous new interior to the pub with a great feel and a fantastic flexible space.
